On the afternoon of Sep. 29, 2018, a fire evacuation drill was held in the new office building of Shining Star Group, which was organized by the Commercial Management Department of Kunming Star Talk Commercial Management Company.

The purpose of this evacuation drill is to implement the principle of "combining fire prevention with fire control, while taking the prevention as priority", making employee to learn emergency treatment and safety evacuation process, reduce the loss of personal and property loss in fire disaster, and improve the comprehensive ability of evacuation and firefighting.The evacuation drill was carried out in three phase. Zhao Yatao, General Manager of Star Talk Company, was the supervisor and Commander in Chief. Yang Yang, Deputy GM of the company, was On-the-spot Commander. The Drill set up emergency evacuation team, protection and rescue team, and fire extinguishing team to worked together to maintain the safety of the Drill.

About 4 p.m. in the afternoon, the office area was filled with smoke and then the alarm bell rang. All leaders and colleagues in the office area got up quickly and evacuated to the 22nd floor with a small towel coving nose and mouth.

After lined up, Yang Yang explained the problems appeared the evacuation and important matters needs attention when emergency happened. "From 2016 to 2017, there were 31,000 high-rise fires across the country, resulting in 474 deaths and 1.56 billion property losses." Yang Yang raised the awareness of fire protection work and fire drills with a series of astonishing figures.

Finally, the Commander in Chief Zhao Yatao explained the correct use of fire extinguishers and invited Group leaders on the spot to try its utilization. The evacuation exercise was successfully concluded when the practice finished.

Star Talk Company reminds all employees should be familiar with the location of fire stairs and evacuation corridors in the office area, So that when a fire breaks out, staff could find the nearest extinguisher and evacuate the area as soon as possible. At the same time, we hope all staff turn off computers, water dispensers and other electrical equipment after work to improve fire awareness and eliminate potential risks.
